“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”
― Ernest Hemingway
You are not alone if you think writing is hard. Some of the most widely acclaimed writers of all time (professionals at that) struggled and complained about it the most. Nevertheless, writing is often necessary, and for many that increases their anxiety about it, further intensifying the struggle.
It doesn’t have to be that way, though. If you have someone who can help you think through what you want to say, and help you figure out the best way to organize it, the writing process can be a lot more manageable. You are also more likely to communicate what you need to say, so you can get where you want to go.
My name is Lisa Finn. I have a degree in English and secondary education. I started working as a writing tutor over 25 years ago. Since that time, I have gone on to learn about and help others in the areas of resume writing, college and scholarship application essays, and grant writing and research for non-profit organizations. If you would like to find out a bit more about my experience in these areas, please take a moment to read through my website, and feel free to contact me. I would love the opportunity to hear about your writing project and to see if I might be able to help. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or by using this contact form.
